Mindful in practice, mindful in play
Millions of people struggle with varying degrees of stress and mental health challenges. At Maloka, our goal is to bring mindfulness to one million meditators in an effort to help the growing mental health crisis. By combining the power of virtual reality therapy with the Just Sit principles created by our founders Sukey and Beth—plus adding some fun mindfulness challenges, an island oasis, and the cutest dancing Spirit—we’re building a game to help people maintain a consistent mindfulness practice both on and offline.
What it’s like to work at Maloka
Contrary to rumors, we don’t all work on a beautiful island oasis like the one you’ll experience in the Malokaverse—but our home is pretty great, too. We’re truly a remote-first environment, with team members in New York City, Chicago, Texas, Miami, Toronto, Vancouver, and other cities across the globe both large and small. We believe in the power of technology for virtual connection, and you’ll often find us blowing up Slack with new emojis.
